THE VIMANA: MYSTERIOUS ANCIENT INDIAN ADVANCED AEROSPACE FLIGHT TECHNOLOGY

The word "Vimana" is a Sanskrit word that literally means "measuring out, traversing" or "having been measured out". So, Vimana is defined as"a car or a chariot of the gods, any self-moving aerial car sometimes serving as a seat or throne, sometimes self-moving and carrying its occupant through the air; other descriptions make the Vimana more like a house or palace or even in temple architectures, and one kind is said to be seven stories high", and quotes the Pushpaka Vimana of Ravana as an example from one of the greatest Hindu epics namely Ramayana. It may denote any car or vehicle, especially a bier or a ship as well as a palace of an emperor, especially with seven stories.

More interestingly, In some Indian languages like Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, and Hindi, vimana or vimanam means "aircraft", for example in the town name Vimanapura (a suburb of Bengaluru city) and Vimannagar, a town in Pune city. In another context, Vimana is also actually a feature in Hindu temple architecture especially found in the rich culture of the South Indian style of temple architecture. According to the great ancient Hindu epic Ramayana, one finest example is that Pushpaka vimana was originally made by the great sculptor of demigods namely Vishwakarma for traveling purposes for Lord Brahma, the Hindu god of creation; later Brahma gave it to Kubera, the God of wealth; but it was later stolen, along with Lanka, which is present-day Srilanka, by his half-brother, king Ravana.

Out of extreme racism and overdominance during colonial rule in India, Britishers have had literally destroyed many valuable documents of Hindu Vedic scriptures, important blueprints, and ancient evidence of vimanas thus making this situation worse to explore the actual practical functionalities and most secret aerospace flight technology behind the grand ancient vimanas. These holy ancient Hindu Vedic scriptures mentioned the usage of Mercury vortex engines for space travel and this is practically proved and used nowadays by NASA (National Aeronautics for Space Administration). Unlike the airplanes which need the runway to take-off and landing, these Vimanas have advanced technology to hover from any kind of lands without the need of runways for take-off and landing.

The Vaimanika Shastra is an early 20th-century Sanskrit text on aeronautics, obtained allegedly by mental channeling about the construction of vimānas, the "chariots of the Gods". The existence of the text was revealed in 1952 by G. R. Josyer, according to whom it was written by one Pandit Subbaraya Shastry, who dictated it in 1918–1923. A Hindi translation was published in 1959, the Sanskrit text with an English translation in 1973. It has 3000 shlokas in 8 chapters. Subbaraya Shastry allegedly stated that the content was dictated to him by Maharishi Bharadvaja, one of the seven greatest sages of Saptarishis.

However, there is a lot more requirement of high-level research and development that needs to be done from government, private sector, scientists, and researchers which could possibly unravel the mysteries of vimanas UFO technology in the coming years ahead. In recent years, its really unfortunate that vaimanika shastra was ruled out to be impractical and there is no proper deep-level research and development due to lack of recognition to this highly important aerospace flight technology that was used by gods to travel from earth to far space and vice-versa.
